Art is the only place where silence speaks louder than words. I create because there are things buried deep inside, that want to be seen.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Large, live Contemporary abstract paintings with motion performed on stage with a crowd. Interaction with the crowd on stage builds, the crowds first sight of color hitting a fresh wet white cotton canvas. Motion of the application of color swirling in their minds. Comments abound, what will it be. Giant dobs, liquid acrylic applied throughout, chaos building. Crowd, thinking different ideas now they think they know. Large knives please sir, some juggling and in a single motion, we have art!
Where do you find inspiration? The venue I'm in, the music, and the emotion of the crowd.
What would you do with $25,000?Well, considering it would be the first time winning something like this, I will feel like the past 30 years of creating large works and sharing has created this journey. Maybe a good European vacation and then donating back into my favorite arts-based nonprofits.
