I create art to serve people EAducation and Encouragement to keep striving for liberation from US occupation for Hawaii.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create mainly honors Hawaiians and their individual essence.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in all the efforts put forth by Hawaiians and other Polynesians striving for foreign deoccupation and decolonization in academia and government. There are many aspects of approaching and seeking to regain and solve and heal and break away from the aftermath of oppression.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000 I would invest it toward building Hawaiian Hale to establish a Hālau on my ancestrally gifted property in Hanalei on the Hawaiian Island of Kaua’i for family use of perpetuating cultural artforms and living a traditional Hawaiian lifestyle.
