Life slaps me around, then I paint. I would love to have a more eloquent way of stating my artistic endeavors, but that really says it all.

It is difficult to list a favorite, but I try to find media that expresses what I am trying or compelled to say... I have "translated" through sculpture, ink and charcoal drawings in the past, but painting has really been my medium of choice for a while now. I find my adventures lie in the abstract...
Where do you find inspiration?Not by my own choosing, I find inspiration from the pangs of living, existentialism, and various levels of darkness or grays we can encounter while living. I have been greatly inspired by war, mental illness, abandonment, and loss. Some of my latest projects have included depicting the decay of abandoned asylums or state hospitals as human figures, nightmares of substance abuse, and dark psychology during the CoVID-19 pandemic.
What would you do with $25,000?That would be an amazing day. I would pay my art studio rent for one year so I would not have to worry about losing my creative space and focus on producing more art and look for ways to expand into more public art projects. After eliminating a few financial burdens, I would invest in the art community somehow--whether through local art organizations and/or regional. Also, I have always wanted to start my own organization devoted to restoring abandoned institutions and repurposing as libraries.
