What is your favorite type of art to create?

Mixed media paintings. Mostly abstract, with oil paint and acrylic paints. This is my passion and my comfort.

Where do you find inspiration?

From poetry, creative nonfiction, photography, popular culture, human tragedy and the mysteries of the cosmos.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would carefully continue to fund my painting & publishing of poetry, literary fiction & creative non-fiction. My last book is We Learned to Live in the Castle: Stories, 2025, & was published by Oregon Greystone Press, my Indie publishing company. It was blurbed by NY legend, Tama Janowitz, author of Slaves of New York, & the equally legendary Hilma Wolitzer, aged 95 & still alive & author of Today a Woman Went Mad in the Supermarket: Stories. I'm proud of this book & grateful to Tama & Hilma.
