While I prefer creating over categorizing my work, friends often describe my style as a fusion of expressionism and futurism. I primarily work with oil paints; their slow drying time allows me to deeply contemplate my subjects and the deindividuation of modern society. In that quiet time between brushstrokes, my frustration with societal trends often sparks the next step in my artistic process.
Where do you find inspiration?My work interrogates the societal phenomenon of the Bandwagon Effect, featuring my inner circle as muses. These unique individuals are the central subjects of my paintings, embodying the traits I explore.
What would you do with $25,000?I want to give others the chance to express their talents through art by funding supplies and classes. I have a huge heart for single mothers, and I already spend my time donating food and clothes to help local moms get a fresh start. These funds would allow me to expand that spirit of giving even further.
