What is your favorite type of art to create?

The art I cherish most invites touch—creating a genuine connection. Since childhood, I've used whatever resources were at hand. This resourcefulness shapes my artistry today. I will use sticks, sand, leaves.. whatever I feel is needed & Each piece I create is an evolving journey, where the materials used guide my hands and my heart. As my art unfolds, I discover new avenues, transforming both the artwork & myself, weaving together fragments into a story that resonates profoundly.

Where do you find inspiration?

I draw inspiration from my late father, who lost his battle to cancer. He was an artist as well & I learned so much by observing him. For part of his life, he traveled through California, selling his art, & this legacy fuels my own aspirations. I plan to follow in his footsteps & I want to replicate some of his pieces, incorporating his ashes into the shading or paints as a tribute to his memory. What would you do with $25,000?

I would invest the funds into a project that celebrates community through art, specifically here in Las Vegas. There is little to no art community out here. With this funding I would make workshops, collab with other artists & provide materials for participants to express themselves creatively. The main goal being human interaction & spreading kindness. Bringing smiles to others is one of my favorite things to do in life. Joy is the real art when it comes to the canvas of life.
