I capture joy, confidence, and inner beauty, showing people the light I see in them. My goal is to make the world a little warmer!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Bending light, freezing time and uncovering beauty inspire me to present the world in a way few see. A group of people will look at a scene for what it is, my goal is take that same setting and capture a moment for what it isn't. I am most at ease with myself behind the lens or in the studio hand crafting images using light, technology and the vast beauty this universe has in store for us. My art is very personal and reflects my desire to connect with the world around me.
Where do you find inspiration?Based in my hometown of San Francisco, I find that this city offers so many avenues for creativity. The diverse people, amazing landscapes, and even the raw beauty of living on land that defines the extent of America's westward frontier make me so proud to shoot here. Often, just drinking a cup of coffee and taking my camera on the road, I love to find time exploring one of the gems of the world.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest this money into a college fund for my niece, Sophia, who I am teaching to follow in my footsteps one day as a photographer.
