I most enjoy creating surreal oil paintings because I love being able to build my own worlds with nothing but paint and canvas. I am allowed to weave whatever beauty I choose and then I get to share that beauty with others in a very striking, visual way.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m largely inspired by nature, mythology, and mysticism. Mystery is essential to my work, so I gravitate to the big mysteries of existence within my work.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to start a community art space that centers connection through creativity. This space would include studios for group workshops and gallery space for exhibitions. It’s my goal to expand the positive impact of art and creativity in as many ways as possible.
