I love to create art, in order to help people escape with comedy and nostalgia. I want to bring joy with memorable moments back into art.

The art I like to use as my medium is glass. Glass, during it's malleable state, is such a living and organic material unlike any other. It's an ancient process that has been more recently used as an expression in the arts. With this medium, I create vessels into a framed object in order to emphasize the glass print I created. Usually the images incorporate, derive from nostalgic moments from cinema. Everyone can relate to it and enjoy the moments it brings to the present.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from revisiting classic comedic films, such as Austin Powers, Tommy Boy, Mr. Bean, and etc. Then from these iconic scenes, I would create a canvas for it, in a functional way so it can be used daily and feel complete. The goal is to somehow recreate that moment of hilarious spontaneity by art interaction. While making the form, i will create fun ways of finding the image, such as the inclusion of am openable lid or a magnified/lense bottle stopper to reveal the secrets within.
What would you do with $25,000?With 25,000 dollars, I would use it to create more art and sending them in the masses. Unfortunately in California, Glass making is excessively expensive, making it difficult to consistently create work. On average, I would spend a 100 dollars plus an hour towards renting a facility that offers glassblowing, as well as hiring someone to assist me in making these glass forms. Afterwards, I would have to create a glass decal and use another facility to fire those images on.
