Surreal landscapes like my Saguaro Borealis. I believe it gives the viewer a sense of connection to something bigger while also conveying a perspective that reminds us to look up or within.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from the desert. A saguaro that is over 100 yrs old and what it has witnessed and endured is an integral part of most my work. Prickly pears that withstand high temps & monsoons and still produce a delicate flower remind me that the difficult times in life can still bring beauty and I’m stronger than I realize.
What would you do with $25,000?I would donate the money to my dad in order to help with assisted living costs for his nonverbal autistic daughter and wife.
