You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art centers on elevating people who bring beauty to everyday life. I create a living archive of the human condition—capturing honest moments, diverse faces, and meaningful places. By fracturing the picture plane into three-dimensional canvases, I separate figure from environment, drawing viewers in to reflect on daily experiences. Through shaped portrait forms, I invite deeper connection to both subject and space.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in the quiet power of everyday life—in the people, places, and moments that often go unnoticed yet shape who we are. I’m driven to elevate those who bring beauty to the ordinary, creating a living archive of the human condition through diverse faces and environments. The relationship between subject and setting deeply informs my work, revealing how our surroundings influence identity and experience. By exploring these connections, I uncoconnection to both subject and space.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to fully immerse myself in creating a new body of work centered on additional people who have shaped my artistic journey. This includes individuals I’ve encountered throughout my career—such as the Barcelona Six ’96 “Cultural Legacy” in Atlanta, Roger and James Deakins, and André 3000—capturing their stories as part of a living archive of influence, connection, and creative legacy.
