I love to be able to take a log and bring someone's dream to life with my chainsaw. It is my goal to make people happy with my art.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love all art but I make wood sculptures. I love to take an idea I want to bring to life from storm damaged trees that I bring life back into before they rot in the woods. I am passionate about working with wood, something I believe my Grandfather passed down to me.
Where do you find inspiration?I have millions of ideas running though my head constantly. So it is never hard to bring one of those ideas out in a piece of wood. Sometimes the challenge is when someone brings the inspiration to you. Then you have the tough challenge to bring the dream to reality. At the same time you want your art to pull the the heart stings because what is art if it doesn't mean the world to the one that asks for it specifically!
What would you do with $25,000?It would definitely go back into my art, so many tools I wish I had and how expensive everything is now. After a few things I need for that I would to love to use some of the money on my family. I work so hard at work and after with my art it would be amazing to do something for them and spend some time with them. Maybe even try that vacation thing people talk about that isn't a work trip for us.
