I do art because it's who I am..it's how I deal with the duality within us all .and a way to escape the mundane of the world,by creating art
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I guess I tend to lean toward pop art style. Big ,bold ,colorful in your face work..it's loose ,playful and has a lot to do with the duality of light and darkness that resides in us all and the battle between the two that we deal with daily in our lives..but I also like painting Japanese style work from the edo period..and then I make many attempts to get inside of recognized artist work such as John Micheal Basquiat..and Picasso pieces or in the style of art and brush strokes.as a study.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by everything around me in this chaotic world there lies beauty around every corner if you take time to look..I'm inspired by the artist that have come before me..and try to honor them such as Basquiat, Picasso, and Warhol, lictensteien and several Japanese wood block printers..truly I never start with any particular thing in mind but draw from many sources of reference and just try to let the magic happen organically or without being planned or forced into existence..
What would you do with $25,000?Put it in the bank as a safety net..for everyday bills, try to help those around me when I can ,and continue living my normal ,humble life.. I don't really have any thing I want except maybe I would finally get another CBR 1000 motorcycle.. Other than that I would not change a thing I would continue working as a tattoo artist and remain humble and kind to my brothers and sisters in the world of every race and creed..I am thankful to be nominated and considered to be part of this art endeavor.
