I create to expose abstract truth and perspective. I reveal what is hidden, distorted or ignored in forms people can't look away from.

At-scale sculptural work in welded steel are my favorite. I build from internal frameworks that I shape into figurative and symbolic forms. My process is a ceremony with the physical. I cut, weld, and grind, putting my will into materials so that structure and surface develop together. I'm most drawn to work that confronts systems: Power, identity, control, and the narratives people are conditioned or groomed to accept.
Where do you find inspiration?I mostly find inspiration in contradictions. What is told vs what exists. Much of my work comes from observing systems: government, culture, identity, and how narratives are constructed and maintained. Personal experience also influences my work: Military service, Institutional environments, and the tension between belief and reality. Those experiences have shaped how I view structure, control, and the cost of conformity. Ultimately I'm inspired by things that don't sit right.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it directly into building the scale and capabilities my work requires. That means core equipment, welding systems, and securing a dedicated work space. Materials, equipment, and space. So I can begin making at the rate and scale I wish.
