"My favorite pieces to create are contemporary figurative paintings—sometimes with collage elements, sometimes without. I focus on people and faces, often calling them my 'imaginary friends.' My process is never planned or curated; the paintings just happen as I go. They’re my favorite things to paint because you never know exactly where one brush stroke will take you."
Where do you find inspiration?I tend to find my inspiration from other artists and how they use colors and shapes and textures. I find my self experimenting with different styles as I’m finding my way.
What would you do with $25,000?I would give some of it to our church, and then I would buy more art supplies as I'm running a little low in paint right now :) Maybe even take a little trip with the hubs finding Inspiration and relaxation. As I have become my mother's caretaker a little trip away would be Soul Good.
