I am a visual artist who uses mixed media, predominantly acrylic paint, through a very intuitive and playful approach. Each painting has multiple layers that provide an avenue to play, while building depth and texture with colors and marks. I believe color is a vehicle for healing during this process. In almost every painting I create I use the colors of the chakra system to promote healing for myself and the person who views my art. It is my intention they depart feeling lighter upon viewing it

My main source of inspiration comes from nature which is displayed in most of the art I create. I spend a lot of time each day noticing my natural world, being still, and communing with nature. I have a deep respect for what she has to show each of us. I am deeply moved by listening to people’s stories and the unique fabric of their life that has been woven together by various challenges, triumphs, and everything in between. I am also inspired by music, culture, and everyday life situations.

I have a large art installation I would like to create that gives awareness to the disease of addiction, provides healing to the human struggling with addiction and those adjacently affected by it. In doing so shining a light on the hope of recovery. This money will be used to provide an avenue for people to use art to heal, removing the financial barriers from people needing healing through art and those that stop themselves from using art to heal because of the internal, I can’t create, voice.
