I envision a piece and feel compelled to create it. It’s not so much that I “Love” to create it’s more of a birthing process to me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Mixed metal sculpture. Non-homogenous metals that are neither welded or soldered but rather precisely machined and fit together. Copper, Brass, Aluminum, Bronze, Steel, Stainless Steel, Graphite and occasionally found object and colored plexiglass. My work begins with a title I then go about creating the work that best illustrates that concept or vision. Overall I would classify my creations as “Representational Abstractions”.
Where do you find inspiration?A thought, a memory a song. My art can represent a social, political, religious, comical, cynical, or philosophical bend.
What would you do with $25,000?More than likely invest in machinery that would allow me to do larger sculptures. I have pieces in mind for large public art projects but simply don’t have the ability to create them.
