I love being able to create and share those creations with others. I never feel more proud than when I finish a piece I poured my heart into
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is portraits, either more realistic oil painted portraits of people or creatures, or digital or hand drawn illustrations of people I often do as gifts for friends or family.
Where do you find inspiration? The things that inspire me most are my friends, family, and community. I have been involved in my local LGBTQ community and love to draw from our history and art, I frequently do portraits of drag artists and find it important to use art to speak up for what I believe in. One of my favorite works was a collection of drag queen drawings for a coloring book to raise money for an LGBTQ scholarship fund.
What would you do with $25,000?A portion would go to bills and keeping myself afloat. I'd love to invest some into renting a designated studio space to work on my art and aquire some higher quality supplies to create with. I'd also like to donate some to organizations supporting the arts and teaching art to youth. Participating in art classes in my youth was an invaluable resource for me in helping me as an artist and a person.
