Traci Cameron

Sometimes it's the only way for me to exorcise my demons. It's a way to explore who I am as an individual and how I fit into the world.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Digital collage. It's messy and chaotic yet still beautiful. Sometimes my art bleeds the pain and emptiness of my soul. Other times it shows the brightness of the hope I cling to. My choice of genre during creation has a mood ring vibe to it. What and when I create has to do with the mood I'm in at that time. In addition, I write and create music.

Where do you find inspiration?

Inspiration is literally everywhere. It's in movies, music, the seasons, people watching and current events. I find it even in my own past trauma and healing journey.

What would you do with $25,000?

I'd replace the roof in my 100+ year old house so I don't have to worry about the sky falling on me or losing insurance. I would like to invest in my art education and supplies. I believe art is very important to not only mental health, but the growth of a community. To that end I'd donate a portion to a local art program to help not only children but adults and seniors have a more enriching life.
