I love to create art out of nature and many other mediums. When I see something beautiful, I'm always thinking about what I could do with it
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I believe that most of my art is created through nature. For instance, the deer skull that I submitted was created using a hornets nest. It fell from out tree and I noticed the amazing color variations in it and thought, instead of "dipping" the skull in paint like everyone else is doing, why not figure out how to apply it to the skull. It's definitely not a medium that is widely available, and every hive (if you're lucky to find one) is unique every time.
Where do you find inspiration?Definitely nature. I do watercolor nature, copper trees, gourds, etc.
What would you do with $25,000?Given my husband and I are retired, we would mostly live off it, plus a nice vacation.
