The art I create explores story-telling through fantasy images and dark art. My work focuses primarily on women’s issues and mental health.

I create conceptual photography and narrative-based figurative work. My art ranges from fantasy to 'dark art' and explores women’s issues and mental health. While my aesthetic is surreal, my motivation is rooted in social impact. By visualizing the human psyche, art becomes a therapeutic catalyst, allowing individuals to externalize and discuss emotional challenges. I find inspiration in women's resilience and create bridges between private struggles and collective understanding.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration comes from the world around me: women's stories, the news, literature, and film. My work focuses on our most difficult social and emotional challenges. I believe that when we give a face to our 'shadows,' they lose their power over us. This is where empowerment begins. By creating art that validates the human experience, my goal is to let others know they are not alone.
What would you do with $25,000?This prize is a turning point. After 20 years with the same gear, I need modern tools like Bluetooth and live view to advance my therapeutic self-portraiture. Being both photographer and subject, real-time control is vital to creating immersive work that reflects collective resilience. I will also invest in my grandchildren’s education to seed a legacy of service. Finally, I’ll give back to your mission. This is the fuel I need to serve my community through art for another 20 years.
