I often paint skulls that appear to still be engaged in lifelike moments, usually laughter, or speaking. I utilize a rich contrast of colors and textures to highlight that, while we are all structurally similar, what we make of ourselves lingers long after we shed our physical bodies. Stay in Skull!

Art is how I process my emotions, especially the difficult ones. When I've been in my own muck, thinking about my own mortality, I've found comfort and inspiration painting a skull and realizing that, yes, mortality is a guarantee, but if I embrace my own authenticity, I can make a good use of my time here that can influence others long after I exit this plane of existence.

I would put it toward an C-class RV for my family. My family approached me with their desire to live a more nomadic lifestyle and I am 100% on board with that. I never expressed my desire to live in an RV due to my own expectations for myself as a father and provider, and when my wife and kids let me know that that's also their ideal lifestyle, I was exhilarated. We have a dream to get into a Leprachaun or a Forester and that $25,000 would go right toward manifesting that dream for us!
