Visionary and Photo-real. With visionary art I sometimes combine many elements to find similarities within the dissimilar. Visionary art expresses dreams, hidden realms and invisible landscapes. Photo-realism allows me to explore how we see and interpret reality. In using the techniques of micron airbrushing to achieve depths of field and sharp focus. Fabric Painting on T-Shirts for sun-kissed tourists has been my passion and allows me to continue to create art for myself during the winter.
Where do you find inspiration?Dreams, myths, nature. Portraits of friends and family, my wife Alicia and my children. Famous Monsters of Filmland. Alternative music, Jazz. 70’s fantasy and Sci-Fiction, King Kong movies(76) Artist such as Salvador Dali, H.R.Giger, Chuck Close and Jerry Ott. William Blake, Ernst Fuchs and Alex Grey. Florida Beaches with their sunny skies and emerald seas. Crystalline Quartz white sand inducing visions of mind into translucent depths.
What would you do with $25,000?To create a new studio space for new projects of the Visionary and Photo-Realistic called Visionaries of the Southern Studio! The hurricane of 2018 was a cleansing experience but also took my original working studio and many artworks. To be able to finally create art in a space separate for our many cats! Also travel to Europe and see some of my favorite museums with Alicia and friends. To also provide inspiration for future art projects that I still need to complete.
