I like to paint the lines and scars of used plywood. I use felt tip markers and sharpies to do the work. I only use used plywood.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Abstract color on used Plywood. I get plywood from building sites and renovations. I keep it from being burned or just dumped into a landfill and I turn it into something beautiful. For me the best part is staining the wood to tell its story.
Where do you find inspiration?Entirely on the individual wood pieces. Plywood is amazingly beautiful. People see it all the time and really see nothing. I see lines and stories and plants and animals and I try to bring those stories to life. Occasionally I succeed. See for yourself.
What would you do with $25,000?Pay my bills, buy some more inks, pay some more bills and help my daughter with her cello expenses. If there's any money left over I will likely pay other bills.
