I create art as a way to process and explore the world, connect with those around me and explore my journey through life
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
In whatever medium I work in, my goal is to create art that is thought-provoking, highly experimental, art that explores our world in a way that most shy away from. The styles, themes and processes of my work change to reflect my environments, however, whether my work takes on the form of a more abstract versus more documentarian style, I always drive to step outside of the box and challenge contemporary structures and viewpoints.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everything, and in nothing. I find inspiration in everything from a beautiful sunset to the silence between friends.
What would you do with $25,000?For me competitions like this aren’t really about financial gain. There’s more to gain from reaching anyone, even one single individual, that connects with my art. If I were to win I would put the money towards a portable film developing study and exploring wet plate and collodian photography.
