What is your favorite type of art to create?

I’m most drawn to creating the “Teardrop,” a recurring sculpture I build in the Hudson River. Using natural stone, I work with the forces of water and gravity to find balance and form. It’s an ongoing exploration—each piece is temporary, changing with the river, and rooted in a deep connection to the landscape. I try to bring awareness to are crying seas for over fishing and pollution to our water.

Where do you find inspiration?

My inspiration comes from working directly with natural and reclaimed materials. I’m drawn to their imperfections, weight, and history, and the challenge of shaping them into something balanced and alive. The process itself—physical, intuitive, and grounded—is what continually drives my work.

What would you do with $25,000?

I lost my studio and Gallery after being priced out. I just bought raw land near Woodstock, New York. I plan on building a new studio in Gallery and just got approved to build a sculpture park. I primarily would use the money for my sculpture park work.
