Creating art allows me to sort of silence the world, even if for just 30 minutes. It puts me in a meditation, embracing me in calmness.

I love creating art that is bold, exciting, and sometimes a little silly even - usually expressive characters and creatures. I create most of my work digitally. That form of art is very interesting as it offers so many new possibilities when it comes to how the final image is created. And it can all be done within one device. It also really helps with streamlining iterative design processes.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of my inspiration comes from my own childhood. The Last few years, ever since losing my father, I have really been drawn to the feeling of nostalgia. I even started collecting Pokémon cards again - mostly because they remind me of when I was a kid, and the world wasn't so bad. So a lot of my art pulls from those memories that I, as well as many others, like to hold on to. These are usually centered around gaming and as I grew up gaming with my family, giving it a special place in my heart.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use a huge chunk of the money to get my wife and I out of some debt, then the remaining amount to help with mortgage. We have been struggling for the last two years - trying to not have to sell our home. So that money would be a life-turning amount for us. I may also take a small portion of it and treat the two of us to a nice, relaxing date somewhere to take our minds off of things for a day or so.
