What is your favorite type of art to create?

My personal favorite traditional art medium is charcoal. It's a messy process, but that's one of the reasons to love it. Because out of that mess and dust, you can craft something raw, striking and beautiful using earth. The genre of art that I create is mostly surrealism with some elements of fantasy mixed in. Even though I tend to draw things in a realistic manner, my subject matter leans toward the imaginative realm. The truth is, most of reality is in the unseen. I work to make it seen!

Where do you find inspiration?

I've always been mesmirized and connected with worlds that individuals have created. From great visual artists throughout history, to great authors like J.RR. Tolkien, they all inspire me to create my own worlds. I'm also drawn to the darker side of the imagination. Even though I'm a very spiritual and affirmative minded person, I still find beauty in the darkness. When we have the courage to face the skeletons of our mind, we realize that our true selves are so much more powerful than them.

What would you do with $25,000?

If I were to win the money, I would save it to help fund my ultimate vision. I intend to open an immersive walk-through horror attraction unlike anything seen before. I love to draw and paint, but making a production that people get to experience with all of the senses is my greatest joy! I want to form it as a non-profit organization that donates to causes that support the betterment of humanity and the Earth. Thank you so much for your consideration!
