Painting is my therapy. As a humanitarian worker, it helps me process what I witness Through art, I reflect, I heal and continue the work.

Painting is my favorite form of artistic expression because it allows me to turn emotion, concern, and lived experience into something visible and meaningful. I returned to canvas as a way to explore the issues that deeply matter to me and reflect the world I witness around me. Collage elements and mixed media experimentation have brought new depth to my work, allowing layers of texture, story, and feeling to emerge in ways words often cannot.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspired by what I witness, the beauty and heartbreak of the human experience ,through my work in humanitarian settings has deeply shaped how I see the world and what I feel called to express. Painting is my most meaningful form of expression, allowing me to reflect what I witness, the stories, struggles, the hope and hopelessness and resilience. By sharing these layers of emotion, memory, and humanity on canvas, I create space for viewers to absorb and connect on their own terms.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were honored to win the $25,000, I would donate it to Hands On Global, where I serve as Executive Director. Our organization provides medical care and resettlement support to refugees and families displaced by war and natural disasters. This gift would directly help those I have served, offering safety, healthcare, dignity, and hope to people rebuilding their lives after profound loss and displacement. handsonglobal.org
