Creating art makes me happy. It allows me to slow down in a fast paced world to see what is around me and in me.

My favorite type of art to create are portraits. I am particularly interested in creating portraits of family and friends. I love to infuse old family photos with new life by transforming them into oils or acrylic paintings. I am also inspired by the Southern California landscape and can often be found painting scenes that center the Pacific Ocean and the fantastic array of colors that can be found in a Los Angeles skyline.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by the potential that my artwork may be uniquely treasured by someone because of the subject or how the work makes them feel. I get excited by expressive clouds and LA skylines at nightfall when shadowy palm trees are profiled against rainbow-infused skies.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this money to develop my art studio. This includes art space, supplies, and art education and research.
