I feel connected to anything nature related that being animals or landscapes with a twist of dark aura with skulls or eerie characters. My motive is to create my art with a sense of mystery to it to grab viewers attention and brew questions on the meaning. The detailed work I put into my paintings are meant to grab peoples attention to give the illusion it is real only to find out it isn’t.
Where do you find inspiration? My art professor would be my biggest inspiration since she made me realize I love adding mysterious elements to my art and just her being the gateway to how my art became to be today. I’ve used what I have learned from her to create ideas of my own art pieces so I’ve stuck with the theme of mysterious details with touches of realism. I have used references from the video game Red Dead Redemption for one of my pieces as well as Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein for one of my most recent artworks.
What would you do with $25,000?I can’t even begin to think of what I can do with $25,000. My goal is to become an art professor and aid students into the direction of rejecting modernism and the use of AI. Great things come from our minds and nothing else. Financially aiding would be a big step to that direction if they are in need of creative tools. As a plan for myself, perhaps art school might be possible with the funds from the prize but regardless I strive to do more for the community to keep raw creativity alive.
