I create memory-driven art that blends lived experience and imagination, building intimate, dreamlike worlds grounded in care and connection

I am drawn to creating surreal, world-building paintings, often in oil on wooden panels. My work explores organic forms, musculature, and imagined environments shaped by personal relationships. I shift between large-scale works that make these worlds feel immersive and smaller, intimate pieces that invite viewers to quietly witness moments with family and friends. Additionally, I like to create work that sparks the imagination and encourages viewers to think beyond the worlds I show them.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature, especially oceans and landscapes where land and water meet. These spaces reflect the intersection between Earth and my imagined world, where two planes coexist and overlap. My interest in curation also informs this world-building. As an emerging artist and curator, I construct spaces that invite viewers to enter and expand through their own imagination, much like the intentions of my artwork. The emotional complexity of humanity also informs my visual language.
What would you do with $25,000?I have been accepted into the University of Toronto’s Master of Museum Studies program for Fall 2026, and this funding would support my tuition, living expenses, and art materials for future projects. The program will strengthen my curatorial practice while continuing to inform my work as an artist, allowing me to develop both paths in tandem and expand how I create and present meaningful experiences. This support would provide stability as I navigate this new and transformative stage in my life
