Art helps me cope with the stress from the war in Ukraine and share the beautiful side of the world.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is landscapes, especially in oil painting. I love capturing light, color, and atmosphere in nature. For me, painting landscapes is a way to slow down, feel the moment, and express emotions that are hard to put into words.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature, everyday life, and my personal experiences. Walking through beautiful places helps me notice small details—light, color, and mood. Moving to the U.S. from Ukraine due to the war has deeply shaped my perspective and inspires me to create art that shows both resilience and beauty.
What would you do with $25,000?I am 18 years old and currently studying at a community college in the United States. I came from Ukraine because of the war, and my hometown, Hola Prystan, is under occupation, so I cannot return safely. I am starting my life from scratch. My goal is to become an art teacher so I can help children grow creatively and continue developing their talents. I would use this money to support my education, pay for university, art materials, and build a stable foundation for my future in teaching art.
