I love to create because it’s exciting to disrupt and reimagine and then reassemble. Its a form of therapy which doubles as communication!

I like to find images from reality and draw or paint them. Then I disrupt the image by cutting it up and put it back together again not as it originally was drawn or painted. I find that paper lends itself to this method. I may collage or scrape the image and draw or paint on top.
Where do you find inspiration?I am an observer of everyday life and love the expressions of people and animals. I love quirky things, off-balance and off-center. Anything that seems unusual or is in an unexpected place. I find gestures and movement of animals fascinating. I do love to use charcoal as well. I can be inspired by an unbalanced face or figure and go about making it more unbalanced!
What would you do with $25,000?I would donate to animal rescue organizations and their veterinary costs. I would donate as I already do to Ukraine. I would donate through UNICEF as I already do for educational opportunities for girls in Africa, also classroom supplies, desks, writing implements and books. I would provide art education where needed. I would also donate to veterans organizations for housing and medical care. In my training as a physician I have cared for veterans and I feel they are in need.
