Art offers a peculiar way of reflection, a space where we can express an idea, an emotion, a memory.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Even though my first connection to art came through photography as a hobby, it ultimately became the medium that allowed me to express myself most fully. What began as part of my professional work soon transformed into my favorite way of creating art. Through photography, I discovered the power of storytelling and the importance of building meaningful narratives within each image. It taught me the responsibility of honoring the people and subjects I capture with dignity and respect.
Where do you find inspiration?Since I began my journey in photography, my main inspirations have come from the memories of my home and the traditions and culture of Mexico. Many of these elements once felt ordinary, simply part of daily life. However, by sharing these emotions and ideas through my work, I began to recognize the richness of my heritage and perspective. For this reason, I always return to my roots when searching for inspiration and creating new narratives through photography.
What would you do with $25,000?Recently, I have been inspired to create a small collective of artists and organize gallery exhibitions that showcase the work of emerging artists seeking spaces to share their voices. My goal is to build opportunities for collaboration and create projects that connect with wider audiences while supporting meaningful causes through strong and impactful narratives.
