I m inspired to make abstract paintings.. the viewer can have a visceral reaction. Like classical music you’re brain can imagine different images, scenarios and dreams.
Where do you find inspiration?Boone’s paintings employ satire, parody, and social and political commentary about LOVE. Boone’s paintings explore the spectrum of love from religious admiration to the opposite side of the spectrum including lustful sin. This series of paintings blur of these lines between temporal distinctions that social norms has imposed on straight, transgender & gay cultures. Boone challenges the norms of sexuality ,mores, race and gender.
What would you do with $25,000?I would love to give back to the Visual Arts Community. I would like to take this award money and buy artworks from visual artists. Then I would like donate their art to various places for education. I had been the director of several art galleries. I injured my neck and shoulders from physical labor …, I became unemployed. Visual artists came to my rescue. They donated their artworks to sell, and gave the money so that I might live & heal for over several years!
