I paint what says " Paint me now". Landscapes. Florals, Mixed Media, animals, my dreams. I am not a "Typist", although works ng with colours matter greatly to me. Yellow doesn't occur in my art much. For forty years I painted classical watercolours and my pieces became art for books covers, preservation projects and my one woman art exhibits. I favor the impressionists for their intimacy.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration finds me often. I consider my life my art and when I pick up my brushes it will be because something inside my being says "Get this moment down on paper or canvas now". Then I proceed into the adventure of discovering where that heart prompt takes me. Life is a fascination, however quiet or loud, complicated or serene.
What would you do with $25,000?I would gift it to our local county Chatham Arts Council ( in Pittsboro, North Carolina ) as it supports artists and artists in residence programs in our public schools.
