My favorite art to create is art that tells a story; everything from comic strips, to storybooks, to pattern-making. Anything character-driven, colorful, with a clear sense of momentum and an emotionally satisfying arc.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration largely from nature and find great joy in birds, insects, and florals. I also love moments that involve family, humorous moments, art history, and animation.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25k, I could stabilize my workspace. I could put some toward debt, cover bills, and continue to volunteer without having to worry about income, even if temporarily. I’d set some aside for fixing and upgrading my equipment and digital tools. Some would go toward building an inventory of showable and sellable items, which in turn could let me participate more widely in shows & exhibits, and as a result, allow me to share more meaningful experiences with my young daughter.
