I make artwork because it allows me to express my life around me and present my work to different people and to new communities.

What I love to create at the moment are drawings using oilpastels, oilsticks, and acrylic paint.my work is always changing.Sometimes it is just using graphite on paper, ather times it is ripping apart the work and put it back together. What I’m doing now is making drawing making lowrider cars in a fantasy way. What if the lowrider was a time machine, caring culture the past and present.love how the oil pastel moves across paper almost as a ice creator Softly and with intention.
Where do you find inspiration?I get inspired by everyday life by taking the bus and look into the window as I travel home inspired by movies, comic, music, lowriders, printmaking class, cultures. at this moment a lot from Chicano,Latino,Aztec,Mayan, mythical creatures
What would you do with $25,000?With this funding,I will create a series of mixed media artworks using oilpastels, oil paint. The funds will support essential materials, studio needs, and framing. At the end of 2024 I lost my mother in Zamora,Michoacán.I used all of my savings to help cover her hospital and funeral arrangements, leaving me without financial stability, this would help me rebuild my savings and create a small emergency fund. This support would also help me purchase a small used car to transport my artwork.
