Where do you find inspiration?From remembering and learning about the past and being a witness to the present. Focusing on these two concepts inspires the stories reflected in my paintings.
What would you do with $25,000?I come from a working class background. I have had to be a working artist, being of service to people's needs has giving me a deep understanding of human nature and the collective consciousness. At this stage in life two things have remained important in my art practice, telling the full scope of that lived story in my paintings and sharing what I have learned about how to tell that visual story through teaching. I would use the money to achieve those two key goals with the time I have left.
