Arts a way for me to connect, let go, and reconnect with the world. It is my introduction and when I’m gone it will be my final goodbye.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create would be anthropomorphic debonair creatures (usually using acrylic as a medium) as well as cartoon storybook water color more so for my family. I enjoy other sketching from time to time but those are my main forte’s.
Where do you find inspiration?I pull inspiration from everyday life and interactions. Leaving the military and readjusting to the world was a bit difficult and I struggled deeply, but I used those moments to paint the pictures you see before you. I learned to let go capturing the process and in a sense I found “my medicine” and catharsis. My water color story book art reflects the day to day life and those around me, especially now that I can pull inspiration from my newly acquired fatherhood status.
What would you do with $25,000?I would first donate 2,000 dollars to the patriots art foundation to help veterans express themselves in a way they typically can’t, then I would donate another 2,000 to the give kids art foundation to help underserved kids. I would then use some for my family because they have always been supportive even in my dark times, the rest I would spend giving my son the art studio of our dreams so that he can have a place to inspire him and nurture that creativity we all sometimes lose
