I create art because art heals; it connects my soul with the souls of others. The hands that create with clay—and the fire ? is powerfully!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create ceramic art rooted in healing, human connection, and ancestral memory. Working with clay keeps me connected to the earth, shaping each piece by hand and transforming it through fire. My work blends function and sculpture, inspired by pre-Colombian forms and the beauty of imperfections and more.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my homeland, its culture, its people, and the legacy of my ancestors. Their strength and stories guide my work. I believe art heals, and through nature and imperfection, I create pieces that carry identity, memory, and emotional connection.
What would you do with $25,000?I would expand art therapy workshops for all ages, creating spaces where people can heal through creativity. I would also build an accessible art co-working studio where art becomes a tool for connection, expression, and transformation.
