Entertainment lively animatronic robots
Where do you find inspiration? My art is to give life to inanimate objects mainly animatronic robots and love seeing how people react to them. My creativity comes from my mother, a retired elementary school teacher who thought arts and crafts. My inspiration came in 1977 at 5 years old when my mom took me to see Star Wars. I saw R2D2 and I knew what I would be making for the rest of my life! I select my color schemes from everyday things and experiences like a city bus, a rock on the road and even fashion inspire me.
What would you do with $25,000?I would remodel my working space (lab) to create even better interactive art pieces that I can take to many of the events I get invited to weekly! These events are mainly nonprofit events with kids who see my art and are inspired to become artists, engineers and makers! I also like to give away electronic components and print parts for students working on senior projects. I also would start free tutorials on my website for those who want to learn this art.
