I love to create because I have to—it keeps me sane, gives me purpose, & invites others into a world beyond sight they may never experience.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I don’t have a favourite—staying in one place feels limiting. My name says it all: Wanda, the wanderer. I follow curiosity wherever it leads, experimenting across mediums, textures, and ideas, chasing the thrill of discovery. I’m drawn to multisensory work, adding texture and sound—sometimes my pieces even speak. Some are light, others wander into darker corners (I let the demons out to play now and then). If I had to choose, I’d explore the darkness—full of hidden surprises.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration turns up in unexpected places—light on water, texture under hand, fragments of sound and memory - dreams. It’s shaped by how I experience the world beyond sight. I’m drawn to the edges, and yes, sometimes into darker corners—there are stories hiding there that refuse to be ignored.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d invest in my practice—upgrading my studio to expand my multisensory work, including sound and tactile elements. I’d also give back, donating a portion to a local youth arts program to support someone who needs access to creative opportunities. The rest would go toward materials, accessibility tools, and creating new work that reaches a wider audience.
