Mixed media assemblages using found shells, industrial materials from around my loft in NYC garment center and from the Holgate nature preserve on NJ's Long Beach Island.
Where do you find inspiration? The living contrast between my NYC loft neighborhood where I moved in 48 years ago and the nature preserve on NJ's Long Beach Island where i have visited since the early 1980's.
What would you do with $25,000?Complete a multimedia video installation project using underwater GoPro footage of my found/altered objects in the tidal ponds of the Long Beach Island Forsyth Nature Preserve. I would also donate a portion to the LBI Art and Science Foundation to support their outreach efforts to area schools supporting the ecological preservation of the Long Beach Island/Barnegat Bay environment (I exhibited a series of my horseshoe crab/clionid shell assemblage/sculptures during their '23 summer arts festival
