I love to create figurative art that evokes emotion, often using metaphor to tell a story. I sometimes incorporate shamanic themes, using metaphor to tell a story. I hope that if I capture what is personal to me, the image will also evoke a universal feeling.
Where do you find inspiration?I believe that inspiration finds me every day. The hawks hovering on the wind over the Palisades right outside my window as I watch the changing of the seasons. I get to see great art in the museums and galleries of New York. (Walton Ford, John Singer Sargent, Hiroshige, Vuillard, most recently). I have lucid dreams at night and have a strong ability to daydream.
What would you do with $25,000?I live in a cramped one-bedroom apartment with my husband, and I would like to rent out a small studio space for a year. I would also use the money to purchase an iPad Pro (my iPad Air is 6 years old) and a printer that produces high-quality gicleé prints on archival paper.
