I create as a dedication to the mysteries. Taking myself and others somewhere, at some point where the adventure lives.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like it when the projects open up other avenues- when it gets through the murky waters and starts running towards shore. Anything with hope or energy.
Where do you find inspiration?By taking responsibility for that creative moment- daring myself to try, even if it’s half-ass. Getting pen to paper is a miracle itself, so I just try to do it some justice. Conventional ways of inspiration do help my creative spark. I was an art handler at our local museum, seeing a creative effort by others invigorates me. Making something that you can’t eat or immediately benefit from is a funny internal dispute. Mowing helps.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d make a plan to elevate my creative life. Maybe move or get a van. Buy a piece of art. Take my parents out for dinner.
