To communicate emotion. The animals are smarter than we credit them. Human decency and civility are declining, while violence is increasing.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Acrylic on canvas, focusing on the natural and spiritual world. Bringing raw emotions to the surface through paintings that are meant to be felt and not just seen. The pieces may seem gothic or even terrifying. In reality, they are my effort to communicate a perspective of the world that seems more and more chaotic and less caring. From an animal's point of view, we are all the same. They are not ignorant to the hostility and damage being done throughout the world.
Where do you find inspiration?Life experience mixed with my passions for art and music. I grew up during the 1970's in NY. I became a rock fan as kid and taught myself how to draw and play a guitar. I received formal art training during high school and college earning a Minor Degree in Fine Arts. I did not paint for approximately 30 years while practicing law. Not painting was deeply emotional. I returned to painting after retiring from law in 2023. My art reflects what I see and feel in the world and hope to communicate.
What would you do with $25,000?It would go a long way towards funding my effort to share my art throughout the world.
