I'd say my favorite is when I do abstract art, but especially so when I make sense of the chaos in a piece and turn it becomes something more specific that I see start to take shape. My other favorite art would have to be my blacksmithing though. I'd always had an interest in it and while I was first unsure what to work on I went metal detecting and found some old farmland wrought iron and thought to make rings of it and their unique look was beautiful and perfectly fit my art style.
Where do you find inspiration?The majority of my inspiration is spontaneous and subconscious. I like to give my subconscious the wheel and see where it takes me. I like to call some of these brain webs as in some pieces it's almost possible for me to read where my mind was at as I progressed through it. I also believe a lot of my art is also unconsciously very inspired by the strange comfort that things like spirals,the golden ratio, and general swirly patterns give my mind.
What would you do with $25,000?I'd definitely have to save some and give at least a bit to my dad as a thank you to him for all the time he's helped support me. Besides that I'd like to use it to help with my education and towards building a career for myself, and likely for materials towards a better blacksmithing setup. It might also allow me to try some more experimenting with my art through different mediums! And maybe a tiny bit of rum
