Creating is the only time I truly feel free. It's space in between the noise where you can be lost, and that's okay.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
To me creating art that evokes emotion is what this is all about. It's about allowing the viewer to feel something, even if only for a moment. While our individual experiences may differ, we all share a fundamental understanding of what it means to feel. Through my work, I aim to capture and recreate those emotions and moments. To me there is comfort knowing that you are not alone in how you feel, even when it feels like you are.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday moments. I have found that some of the most beautiful moments in life are the ones in between the camera flashes. The moments that the world be never see, but we know they are there. We sometimes caught glimpses of them, and when you do. There is so much beauty in the simplest of moments. Some that even words could never describe.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won the 25,000 I would love to take time to really create a collection of work that I could put into a solo exhibition. Use the gift of time from the 9 to 5, and bring my ideas to life and share them with the world. A true solo exhibition put together myself, without a gallery. A space where I can finally bring my artistic vision to life the way I want to.
